Booklists are ordered at the end of term four and available for collection at the beginning of the school year.  These include all stationery items needed by students.

Our school also uses a Voluntary Donation system where parents are invited to donate a yearly fee which is used to assist with programs that the school offers and provides.

We encourage parents to assist in all aspects of their child’s school life and in any way they are comfortable. This could mean listening to students read or working with small groups. We do value a strong partnership between our parents, staff and students. Parent Helpers are asked to have a current Working With Children Check and these forms are available from the office.

At times throughout their time with us the students will attend excursions, athletics sports, swimming and other activities. When the whole school is travelling a  bus is used. When smaller groups are involved  sometimes parents may be asked to either transport their children to or from events or arrange car pooling with other parents.  Signed permission notes and travel notes are required for all school events and must be received before the activity or travel occurs.

At Anakie Primary School we encourage all students to be on time and be at school.  However there are times when we all become unwell and students who are unwell are best cared for at home.  If your child is absent from school, please use our pink “Notification of Student Absence Form” explaining the reason for the absence and return it to the class teacher on the day your child returns to school. Lengthy absences should be notified by telephone (5284 1291) and then a written note supplied when your child returns to school.  A copy of the absence note is included in the enrolment pack.

If you need to collect your child from school early, please ensure you sign your child out at the office.

Students may wish to order their lunch from the Anakie Shop on a daily basis.

Please order lunch from the store directly before school using a  brown paper bag, with your child’s name and grade and order written on it and the money enclosed.  Lunches are delivered from the shop to your child at lunch time.  A menu is sent home at the beginning of the year.  We encourage a healthy, balanced and moderated diet.
