Opportunities for Parents to be Involved

Have you ever considered becoming a member of the school council? The Anakie Primary School—School Council meets once a month and is involved in the planning and decision making of the school.  School Council elections are held each year during the beginning of Term One.

Anakie Primary School has an active Parents and Friends Association that assists the school in many ways to improve learning outcomes and school life for our children.  This participation may take the form of cooking a barbecue on special days, assisting with excursions, raising money to finance extra equipment for the school, or subsidizing special programs such as our school swimming program. Parents will be kept informed of times and dates of meetings through the school newsletter. New members are always very welcome to attend.

We welcome your input, ideas and opinions, please feel free to let us know if there is something on your mind.  We encourage parents to take advantage of all opportunities to have your say!

A school Newsletter is produced every fortnight and is distributed to students or directly emailed on a Wednesday.  Our newsletter is always full of news about the school, upcoming events and celebrations of success.

We hold a Whole School Assembly on a Friday afternoon @ 3.15pm every fortnight (in line with the production of the newsletter).  Student awards are presented  along with news and announcements.  All welcome!
