Principal's Report

With over half of the term over, students have been consistently demonstrating our school values of Respect, Resilience, Responsibility, and Aiming for Excellence. It has been wonderful walking around the classrooms and yard, seeing students being kind and inclusive to each other, and putting in 100% with their learning. We look forward to continuing this for the remainder of the term and further extending their skills in a range of areas.

You will see some we have a couple of fundraisers taking place at the school currently, we would appreciate your support with both the Routleys Pie (& sweets) Drive, and our Brick Project. Click on the available links to find out more information. Last week, the Junior School Council conducted its yearly soup day. A very big thank you to Jess, Kristy, and Courtney for their support with the day - we changed things up a bit this year and had freshly made soup. Check out the photos below.

I have sent out a request for parents to complete our OSHC and Parent Opinion Survey - it would be appreciated if all our families could do this, it provides great insight for the staff and future planning. Please refer to Compass for login information.

Our future students have been enjoying their fortnightly Storytime sessions with Mrs Bye. It has been great for the children to engage in a literacy activity, play in our yard, and become familiar with what school is all about! These sessions will continue until the end of the year. We will be sending out transition information for Term 4 in the coming weeks for our 2024 Foundation students.

Many thanks,

Louise Kahle

Brick Project

Anakie Primary School is excited to annouce our next major fundraiser. Our Parents & Friends committee, with support of the Junior School Council are seeking donations towards our Brick Project. You can choose one of two different designs for your brick, that will be located at the entrance to the school, where the current uneven brick path is leading to the basketball court. We encourage families and members of the community to get behind our latest fundraising project. You can choose to add a message of encouragement to your brick, such as 'Have a great day', or 'Keep smiling', or just your name, maybe the year you graduated from the school, your familiy name - the possibilities are endless.
